The Strong & Gentle – The Faces of Abruzzo exhibition officially opens its doors in Cugnoli, showcasing portraits and stories that reflect the spirit of inclusion and cultural diversity in the region. The project has been funded by Restart Cultura 2025 and the exhibition runs until November 14, with free entry for all visitors.
Over the past months, we’ve met some amazing people of Abruzzo who became the faces of this project. Together with a group of talented photographers, we created their photos in their everyday settings. We share their fascinating stories re-telling them in short written profiles that will be shown alongside the portraits.
On October 19th you’re warmly invited to join us — meet the people behind the project, and share a moment of connection, inspiration and maybe even some new ideas for how we can work together to create change.
We are grateful for support of Comune di Cugnoli hosting this event and the opportunity to share the vision with vice-mayor, Lanfranco Chiola, who leads by example engaging in developments and protection of small villages in Abruzzo. I also benefit from the experience and enthusiasm of a wonderful person and an awarded culture promoter – Annalisa Piermattei, who will join us as a co-curator of the exhibition.
